In the ZBrush class I am taking, we will be producing 3 models to hypothetically be used in a game concept that we game up with in the first week of class. I am using the Nightmare game concept I’ve had mulling around in my head for a while and have produced models and concept art for in past classes. The models we will be producing are an object, a monster and a character.
The object is a teddy bear with spider legs. The idea is that the spider creature has hollowed out the body of a teddy bear as a disguise and pokes its legs through the bottom. This character is the first the player meets, and helps guide the player through the beginning of the game.
To the left is the original concept drawing for the spider bear. At specific moments in the story, the spider will pop his head out of the sown part down the middle for emphasis. I decided, however, to model it with the seam closed for simplicity’s sake.
Comments and criticism welcome!
It’s genius!
It looks absolutely better with the asymmetry! Great lighting, work on defining the separation between the joints and the legs if you are able. Also try adding some wear and tear on the eyes and nose, like the plastic has been scratched. It feels a little too smooth.
Gah! It’s so eerily cute!
I want it, but I”m afraid it would lay eggs in my mouth at night.
now I’m REALLY frightened.
very effective concept and well done.
